An exciting product by Zone3 designed to fill a gap in the market. This versatile product can act as a swimming suit but also as a base layer.

Made from a high quality Yamamoto 1.5mm neoprene with Super-Stretch lining, this technical garment can offer buoyancy, speed through the water and additional warmth. It offers a fantastic fit based on our women’s swimming costumes, core body insulation, excellent flexibility and comfort.

This garment can be either be worn on its own during pool or open water swimming training to give extra buoyancy and reduce drag through the water.

It can also be worn under a swimming costume as a base layer to give an extra layer of warmth and insulation. This is perfect for outdoor pools which aren’t heated and help allow swimming all year. It is also a good alternative for some pools which don’t allow wetsuits to be worn and where a full wetsuit can get too hot.

For either use, we do recommend firstly trying with a normal swimming costume on top.

The costume is glued and blind stitched for durability. The open cell neoprene is folded, heat bonded and zig-zag stitch on the arm, neck and leg holes to reduce water entry which make a very stylish looking finish.

Comes up very snug!

Comes up very snug! I am a 12/14 and ordered the L. I need a bit of help getting into it as my back hamsters wriggle around from back to front when trying to get it on. But once on it is a smooth fit and keeps my innards warm. I have been going into the sea over winter in a shortie and wanted something to keep my middle warm as the sea gets slightly warmer into spring.

Great piece of kit

I bought this swimsuit in the autumn of 2020 but have held off writing a review until now as I wanted to test it fully in the winter. I was a bit sceptical that a swimsuit could give much protection against the cold. I didn't want to go down the wetsuit route but I don't have much body fat so I needed something to take the edge off. It's great! It keeps my core warm in the water and it dries really quickly once rinsed. I am size 10/12 and I bought a medium which fits well. It's snug so takes a bit of practice to get on and off but it's the close fit that keeps you warm.
